BBQ:

On the terrace is a gas BBQ which is available for you to use. Underneath the BBQ are cooking utensils, apron, mitts etc. If you require help with the BBQ, please let us know.

Bike Hire:

We have several Mountain bikes for all ages - adults and children. We also have a bike fitted with a child seat. These are available for all our guests free of charge. Helmets and locks are also available. Use of the bikes is at your own risk.

Breakfast:

If requested, breakfast is served daily between 7:30 and 10:00. You can choose to either take breakfast in our beautiful garden or have it left by your apartment door at your desired time. If you have not booked breakfast as a package, you can still request it if desired. The price is €7,00 per person, per day or 50% for children between 4 and 11. Just let us know by evening if you would like breakfast the next day - and we can provide you with a breakfast request form.

Check-in/Check-Out:

The apartment will be available from 14:00 on your arrival day. Checkout time is 10:00 on departure day. However, we like to be flexible, so please check with us shortly before arrival or departure, if different check-in or check-out times are possible.

Diving/Rafting/Kajak:

We can arrange weekly kayak courses for beginners and advanced levels, crayoning, river trekking and rafting. The best times for these are between May and September. Please ask us for details.

DVD:

Your apartment is equipped with a DVD Player. Should you wish to borrow a DVD free of charge, please let us know as we have a small selection to choose from.

Fill the Fridge:

You may have booked your apartments on a self catering basis, but probably the last thing you want to do when you arrive is to go food shopping. We have 3 ‘Welcome Packs’ from Basic to Luxury. For further information, click here

Before you travel let us know your choice and we will put the shopping into your fridge before your arrival.

Golf:

There is a Golf course in Bad Ischl, which is about 20 minutes by car/taxi. The Salzkammergut Golf Club was founded in 1933 and is laid in intact nature and surrounded by a picturesque landscape. Beneath a beautiful view, the golf course also offers a technically demanding and varied game. The club is not fashionable, not snobby, but very endearing. Wirling 36 - 4820 Bad Ischl. Horse riding:

Islandpferdehof Platzl - Follow the main road towards Hallstatt, but turn right before crossing the river Traun. Prices start from €10,00 for 1 hour for kids, where they also learn how to groom ponies etc. Tel: +43 (0)6131 593.

Laundry:

Unfortunately, your apartment is not equipped with a washing machine. However, we can do your laundry for you. The small charge for this is €5,00 per wash load or €7,00 per load for wash/dry.

MTB Bike Tours:

If you would like guided tours, then we would recommend the Salzkammergut Mountainbike Center. Through them we can arrange for you to either take part in a one day guided tour, multi-day guided tours, or even have your own personal guide who will take you on a tour and also provide MTB training. Pavilion:

Please feel free to use the garden pavilion whenever you wish. You will find a remote control which enables you to control the lights. To make you more comfortable, should you wish to enjoy the summer evenings there, you will see that there is a heater over the seating area. The switch is above the Buddha picture. We kindly ask you to remember to turn off the heater and lights after use.

Recycling:

To help keep Austria as beautiful as it is, we try to recycle our waste and ask you to kindly help. Enclosed in this information pack is a sheet on how to use the various recycling bins in your apartment.

Koppenrast – about 10 minutes walk. Turn left out of our house, cross over and then along the railway line through the wood. You will find the restaurant by the river after about 1km. Roll Service

The local bakery delivers fresh rolls every morning at about 7am to our house (except Sundays and Bank Holidays). Further information can be found later in this information pack. Please let us know on arrival if you would like to join this service.

Ski Areas:

Krippenstein (2 mins by car) - The Krippenstein Freeride Arena (2100 metres) is a magnet for those who enjoy winter sports in unspoilt natural surroundings and is accessible via the recently modernised Dachsteinbahn cable car system. The region provides a real adventure for downhill and cross country skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. For those who prefer more gentle snow shoe hiking, Obertraun has plenty to offer. There are 11 km of prepared ski runs from the summit down to the valley; otherwise you can try out some off-piste skiing. Our younger guests will have hours of fun at the recently established "Krippi-Park". en.krippenstein.at

Ski Bus:

The Ski bus is free and included in the tourist tax and your ski pass. The bus stops at the train station, which is about 20 minutes walk. Please ask us for possible transfer either to the train station or the ski resort of your choice.

Skiing - Cross Country:

There are 14km of Cross Country tracks here in Obertraun, which are 95% flat. They start almost from our front door. Other areas are in Gosau (about 15 minutes drive), Mitterndorf, Tauplitz, Postalm.

The Hallstätter Lake is about ½ hour walk either along the river Traun or following the main road. Swimming is for free and it has a play area, a snack bar, public toilets, a nudist beach, paddle boats etc.

TV:

Your apartment is equipped with an LCD TV, DVD Player and Digital Satellite receiver. Should you wish to borrow a DVD free of charge, please let us know as we have a small selection to choose from. We have provided a list within this information pack.

Whirlpool:

The use of the heated pool is free of charge. Please note that because of health reasons children should not use the pool. In order to keep the water clean and fresh for you and other guests, we kindly ask all guests to shower before using the whirlpool – This ensures that all sun creams etc. are removed. Usage of the pool is at own risk.

WiFi:

We have wireless internet access which is free for our guests to use.

Wine Self Service:

In the entrance hall you will find a shelf with standard wine. Please help yourself and put the money into the piggy bank next to it - each bottle €4,00. On request, we also have bottles of Sekt (Sparkling Wine) in our cellar for €6,00.
