Wir kamen nach Obertraun and wurden mit einer Herzlichkeit empfangen, so daß wir uns gleich zuhause fühlten. So eine Gastfreundschaft, jeden Tag wurden wir mit einem Lächeln empfangen. So konnte der Tag nur gut werden. Und es wurde gut. Die Ruhe, die Natur, das super Frühstück, einmalig.

Wir sind erst 2 Stunden hier. Aber eines kann man jetzt schon sagen. Gleich die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich. Alle Einrichtungen des Hauses wurden ausführlich erklärt. Alles vorhanden wie auf den Webseiten beschrieben, doch in Natura sieht alles noch ein bischen besser aus. Unser Zimmer ist tiptop und mit allem und noch mehr ausgestattet. Unser rapide schwindendes Vertrauen in den Tourismus ist schon bei Ankunft wieder hergestellt. Unheimlich nette Gastgeber sorgen dafür! Sehr empfehlenswert - schon nach der Ankunft. Wir - ein Paar 30/33 - haben uns ohne große Erwartungen ganz spontan auf die Reise nach Österreich begeben. Wir haben die FeWo am selben Tag unserer Anreise gebucht und waren um 22:30 Uhr nach 8 Stunden vor Ort. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und kurz herumgeführt und dann bekamen wir noch ein drei Gänge Menü, wobei wir beim dritten Gang passen mußten, weil wir kurz vorm Platzen waren - so lecker war das Essen. Die Familie Osborne gibt sich sehr viel Mühe mit Ihren Gästen - wir haben solch eine Betreuung am späten Abend sowie allgemein noch nirgends erlebt! Sie sind immer gut drauf und freundlich und kennen Ihren Ort sowie die Umgebung sehr gut, so daß sie Tipps für Unternehmungen usw. geben können. Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt und Sauber. Wir waren leider nur drei Nächte dort und der Abschied ist uns bei so viel Herzlichkeit schwer gefallen. Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Ferienwohnungen sind im Sinne des Wortes "komplett ausgestattet", alles ist reichlich vorhanden, von Duschgel u. Shampoo über Fön zu Gewürzen über Spülmittel, Handcreme, feuchtes Topapier, Nähzeug, Bademäntel, Badeschlappen, Hausschlappen etc.etc. Räume etwas enger als erwartet, dafür großzügiger, exclusiver Gartenbereich, wie aus dem Bildmatierial ersichtlich.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Landhouse Osborne. Der Service ist unbeschreiblich gut. Hatten das Frühstück dazu gebucht, welches wir im Garten genießen konnten. Jegliche Wünsche werden erfüllt. Den Abend konnten wir im beheizten Pavillion genießen. Die Apparments sind optimal ausgestattet. Und nicht zu vergessen, die unbeschreibliche schöne Umgebung. Sehr liebevoll eingerichtete kleine Apartments mitten im Salzkammergut! Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern oder Hallstadt sind mit dem Auto sehr leicht zu erreichen, genauso wie die Skigebiete Krippenstein und Dachstein West. Die Besitzer selbst sind äußerst nette und hilfsbereite Menschen. Sehr empfehlenswert für eine kleine Auszeit vom vorweihnachtlichen Trubel und zum Besinnen auf die stillste Zeit im Jahr!

Thanks so much for an excellent few days in Obertraun. We both had a fantastic time and the welcome was just exceptional.

Highlights: Weather (4 blue sky sunny days in October!), breakfasts (talk about letting the guests eat the profits), Jacuzzi (very relaxing after a long day walking in the mountains), scenery (autumn colours everywhere) and you guys.

Sehr schöne mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Appartments. Alles vorhanden, was das Herz begehrt. Sehr umfangreiches Frühstück. Viele Spielsachen für meinen 5 Jahre alten Sohn. Whirlpool, Grill, Dreirad, alles da was man braucht und nicht im Auto mitbringen kann. Aeusserst liebenswerte herzliche Vermieter, jeder Wunsch wurde einem quasi von den Lippen abgelesen.

After meeting Trevor last year through an eBay posting, we made a provisional booking in March. Excellent, informative and patient communications from Trevor and Judith continued right through to our departure from the UK, including the best road directions to Obertraun from Salzburg. Our stay was a delight. Fortunately the weather was excellent which helped and under Trevor and Judith's guidance we got insights, tips and entrées to local sights, tours and places to eat that I am sure we would not otherwise have found. The scenery is spell binding, some of the walks truly amazing (you must go to the 5 Fingers and try the precipitous walk up the side of the Gletschergarten)so bring good walking boots (buy walking poles locally!), binoculars and a camera! None of our expeditions proved too arduous for 11 year old Emily but don't do the Salzwelten (Salt Mine tour) if you are claustrophobic! Strongly recommend Gasthof Hollwirt for garlic soup and chevapiccis, and for 1st class food try Gasthaus Koppenrast - a short bike ride from Ebnerstegweg! We left Obertraun with heavy hearts after the perfect holiday in the company of such lovely, friendly hosts but we will be back !! In the meantime best wishes to family Osborne and make space for us next year-PLEASE :-)

Wir waren 5 Tage zu dritt in Obertraun im Ferienhaus Osborne. Die Osbornes sind ein absolut supernettes Paar, die uns eine wirklich schöne Zeit beschert haben. Das Fühstück morgens (entweder es wird einem pünktlich zur bestellten Zeit auf´s Zimmer gebracht, oder man kann es im traumhaften Garten geniessen)lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Das beste ist der Whirlpool im Garten - es fiel uns schwer ihn überhaupt wieder zu verlassen. Stayed at Landhaus Osborne last week - was like being at home - only without the stress.

They really took care of us and provided us with anything we needed - even bikes and hiking boots.

The outdoor hot tub is a dream and we were able to just chill and admire the mountains. That was until it got dark, then we had the clear starry skies to admire...wow....

Can only recommend Obertraun - lots to do if you want to relax or be adventurous.

Will definitely be back to Obertraun and Landhaus Osborne!!!

I had just had an operation on my knee and whilst it was recovering well, I decided to have a little break before starting getting back to work.We had been to Austria once before and decided to go back and enjoy the scenery in the summer. Through the internet we found this residence and booked it. The web site was very user friendly, well laid out and accurate. The owners Trevor and Judith were very flexible and prompt in responding to our queries. During our stay, they looked after us very well and also looked after our 2 toddlers on occasions so my wife and I could have some time to ourselves. Judith is great with kids and has a lot of patience with them. The scenery was superb so don't forget your cameras and tripod. A great place to relax and for activities too. there is something for all - skier or not. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked ourselves back in for next summer and will definitely recommend you visit.
